About Hakan

Hakan Canbaz works on the connections between systems: SAP S/4HANA, SAP Sales and Service Cloud V2 and the rest of a customer’s landscape, built and run on SAP Integration Suite on SAP BTP. Hakan is part of Spadoom’s BAIP & Product team with Michael Suter, Stacy Ackeret and Lea Marijanovic.

Most integration work is unglamorous and decides whether a project feels finished: using SAP’s standard integration content where it exists, keeping custom iFlows separate from it, and monitoring messages so that an error reaches the right person before a user notices. Hakan has lived in Belgium and in Switzerland, and the verdict on chocolate is clear: Swiss chocolate wins, by a long way.

On this blog Hakan writes a hands-on runbook for connecting SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud and Sales Cloud V2 through SAP Integration Suite: which standard flows SAP delivers, when a custom iFlow is justified, and how to monitor the interfaces once they run.

What to ask Hakan about

  • Which standard integration content exists between S/4HANA Public Cloud and Sales Cloud V2?
  • When do we need a custom iFlow, and how do we keep it maintainable?
  • How do we monitor interfaces in SAP Integration Suite and react to errors?
  • How do we connect non-SAP systems to Sales or Service Cloud V2?
  • What does an integration need on SAP BTP: accounts, entitlements, connectivity?
