Cloud ERP Comparison

SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud vs Oracle NetSuite

Both are multi-tenant cloud ERPs that the vendor operates and updates twice a year. NetSuite says more than 44,000 organisations use it. We implement SAP, not NetSuite, so on the NetSuite side we rely on what Oracle publishes. Last reviewed: 7 October 2026.

TL;DR: Quick Verdict

NetSuite fits fast-growing companies, often with a parent outside Switzerland, that want ERP, CRM and e-commerce in one database and accept a partner add-on for Swiss specifics. S/4HANA Public Cloud fits when Swiss localisation must be in the standard, when manufacturing and supply chain processes are complex, when the group runs SAP, or when sales and service need SAP Sales and Service Cloud V2. For the Swiss subsidiary of a group that already runs NetSuite, staying on NetSuite is usually the pragmatic answer.

Our Recommendation

What we tell our clients

Decide by group and by localisation. If the parent company runs NetSuite OneWorld, a Swiss subsidiary on NetSuite with a Swiss localisation add-on is usually the simplest answer, and we would say so. If the parent runs SAP, or if QR-bill, Swiss VAT and the Swiss chart of accounts must come in the vendor standard, S/4HANA Public Cloud is the stronger choice. The same holds when manufacturing and supply chain processes are complex, or when sales and service should work on live ERP data in SAP Sales or Service Cloud V2. Whatever you pick, plan Swiss payroll separately and ask for a QR-bill demo with your own bank format. Our five-day S/4HANA readiness assessment checks the fit with your processes, at a fixed price.
